YAMMER NOW iPhone app

Of all the projects I worked on at Yammer—the enterprise social network acquired by Microsoft—near the top of my favorites is the standalone chat app, Yammer Now.

As the sole UX Writer (then known as a “Product Copywriter”) on the team, I was responsible for all UX copy in the app, as well as the app store description, app store marketing copy, and release notes.

It was a challenging and interesting experience in which I worked together with a diverse team to take an app all the way from conception to release. A scrappy and tight-knit squad started with an all-day brainstorm session, and over a period of several months, developed multiple prototypes based on both qualitative and quantitative research.

Yammer Now integrated seamlessly with Yammer, and allowed for quick and easy chats with your coworkers.  The app dovetailed with our “Online Now” chat feature on the web, so the copy in it was a combination of totally new language and alterations of existing language from the web experience.
